We hired Eric Hay and HayStack Inspection Services in spring 2013 to inspect a home in the Upper Highlands that we wished to purchase. As first time home-buyers we were very anxious about the process, but Eric was fantastic! He encouraged us to follow along with him while he conducted his inspection, and took the time to carefully point out (and photograph) each detail as he was inspecting it. He explained each flaw in the house in detail, and let us know what was fixable and what was not. This was particularly important as we were buying an older home (built in 1946). With Eric’s assistance we were able to get the sellers to correct several minor problems that we would not have noticed, and we were able to confidently buy the house knowing that it was in sound shape. The inspection was also very reasonably priced. We closed on the home over 6 months ago and have not had any need for repairs since! Eric Hay and HayStack Inspection Services are great, we would recommend them to anyone who is thinking about buying a house.
